Meet Sammy, our citizen of the week!
Sammy lives at 4319 Mason Circle in Metro Park, within walking distance of Millsberry Academy and all of her favorite Downtown shops. Sammy moved to Millsberry on September 17, 2004, and she's had a great time exploring all the best spots in town!
Anyone who has met Sammy will tell you that she is an extremely caring person. She's always ready to lend a hand when someone is in need, and Sammy loves to volunteer her time by helping others. One of her favorite volunteering activities is helping out at animal shelters. Sammy's caring nature makes her very patient and gentle with frightened animals, and her calmness helps them to relax. Sammy always keeps a cool head during tough situations, so she's a great person to have around in a crisis.
In addition to volunteer work, Sammy has many academic interests. Her favorite class at Millsberry Academy this semester is chemistry. Sammy enjoys performing all of the experiments in science class and learning how chemicals react with one another. Sammy is also very interested in archaeology and sometimes creates pretend archaeological digs in her backyard with friends. She is curious about the people of the past, and Sammy would like to learn more about how ancient cultures influenced the modern world.
Her interest in archaeology sparked Sammy's love of world music too. She likes to hear the different sounds and rhythms of many regions. Recently, Sammy combined the exotic beats of world music with her two other favorite styles (jazz and classic rock) to create some very unique songs of her own. As soon as she was satisfied with the songs, Sammy hurried down to the Recording Studio to record them. Her music has already won over a lot of fans, who took one of Sammy's tracks all the way to the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Top Ten chart!
Thanks for being a fine citizen, Sammy, and congratulations on being named Millsberry's Citizen of the Week!
