Meet Mercedes, our citizen of the week!

Mercedes lives at 11193 Four Corners Lane in full view of the rolling green fields of Golden Valley. Mercedes has been enjoying the neighborhood's simple, country life since moving there on August 24, 2005.

One of the things that Mercedes likes most about her neighborhood is the rural atmosphere. Mercedes loves animals, and since Golden Valley is close to so many farms, there are plenty of different animals for her to spend time with. She especially likes working with horses - brushing them, grooming them, and even taking them out for rides in the countryside. Mercedes is so gentle and caring that animals are able to feel relaxed and comfortable with her right away.

The same goes for people, too! Mercedes's friendly nature immediately draws in those around her. She easily made friends as soon as she started at Millsberry Academy, and now Mercedes usually spends her afternoons with a large group of friends at an ice cream parlor or at the movie theater in the Downtown Entertainment Complex. It's easy to spot Mercedes - she'll most likely be in an orange, black, and red outfit and at the center of the liveliest conversation! There are times, however, when Mercedes enjoys just staying in at her best friend's house and talking or listening to the newest classic rock, country, and disco CDs. She is so easygoing that she's happy doing almost anything, as long as her friends are there and having fun too!

When Mercedes needs some time to herself, she likes to enjoy a few hours relaxing with a book. On many occasions, Mercedes has attributed her excellent grades at the Academy and the mental sharpness that has allowed her to earn a shelf full of gold trophies to her love of reading.
