Meet Lola, our citizen of the week!
Lola lives at 10108 Spring Drive in an elegant Victorian-style house in Ravenwood. Lola has been learning as much as she can about the history of her neighborhood ever since moving there on January 8, 2005.
Lola is very smart, but her intelligence is more than just book smarts — she's also quite clever. This cleverness is useful when Lola is participating in one of her favorite pastimes — games. She's a quick learner who is capable of picking up rules and strategy easily. The full trophy case that's on display in her home is proof of Lola's game-playing talents. She doesn't play for the trophies, though; when asked, Lola will happily tell you that she plays for the challenge and fun!
Though Lola quickly earned a reputation at Millsberry Academy for being an academic force to be reckoned with, she is also well known for her expressiveness. It's very easy to tell exactly how Lola is feeling just by observing the look on her face. This quality comes in handy when Lola is performing onstage. She loves music and enjoys singing and playing musical instruments, so her expressive nature makes her performances very emotional. Lola particularly likes singing and writing her own pop, rap, and rhythm & blues songs.
When Lola isn't busy taking part in a gaming tournament or penning lyrics, she can often be found at a mall with her friends, browsing through the latest silver, light blue, and violet fashions. Now that it's summer, Lola is keeping cool by practicing her hockey skills at the ice rink in Peabody Park and by enjoying movies in the air-conditioned comfort of the theater at the Downtown Entertainment Complex.
Thanks for being a fine citizen, Lola, and congratulations on being named Millsberry's citizen of the week!
