Meet Laticia, our Citizen of the Week!

She lives at 1600 Maple Street in Westridge, which is right across the street from Paulie's Ice Cream Parlor. Every afternoon, once school has let out, Laticia and her friends will head over to Paulie's for a place to hang out, do some homework, and enjoy the occasional treat. Laticia's favorite, hands down, would have to be the Strawberry frozen yogurt, served in a waffle cone, with sprinkles on top... yum!

In her spare time, Laticia enjoys taking martial arts classes. Three times a week, she'll spend an hour training with Master Ken, her instructor. After a few years of taking karate, Laticia has worked her way up to earning a purple belt. Hopefully, in a year or two, she'll be ready for her brown belt test. When she's not at karate class, Laticia enjoys riding her bike to the "Bookends" Book Shop, where her favorite books are the biographies of famous athletes that she finds in the Sports section.

More often than not, you can find Laticia wearing a set of headphones—she just loves music! Her favorite songs are usually energetic and upbeat, the kind that make her want to dance. That's why she's especially fond of salsa and rhythm and blues. However, during quiter times (like when she's studying for school), Laticia prefers the soothing sounds of jazz.
