Meet Ryan, our citizen of the week!
Ryan lives at 16087 Arrowhead Avenue in the waterside neighborhood of Lakeview. He's already gone ice-skating on the lake's frozen surface many times since moving to Millsberry on January 31, 2006. Ryan says that he can't wait for spring and summer to arrive, so he can use the lake for swimming and boating, too!
One of the things that Ryan is best known for among his fellow students at Millsberry Academy is his boundless energy. He's always very alert, whether in class or on the playing field. Paying close attention has helped Ryan do well in all his school subjects, but he's always most excited and attentive in astronomy class. Ryan loves to explore distant worlds and far-off stars using just the power of his favorite pink telescope and his imagination!
Ryan's preferences are very flexible, though, so he has many varied interests. In addition to his love of astronomy, Ryan also likes animals. He can often be found browsing at the Pet Palace or going for long hikes with his pets. Playing fetch with his dog has the added benefit of keeping Ryan's throwing arm in shape for football season. Ryan is very athletic and likes to try playing many different positions on the football field, but his favorite is quarterback. Ryan enjoys the challenge of reading a defense and trying to hit his receivers with accurate passes, while also trying to avoid being sacked.
When he wants to relax and just have a good time, Ryan heads to the arcade at the Downtown Entertainment Complex. He says that the video games there really help his hand-eye coordination, which comes in handy when playing sports. Ryan also enjoys going to amusement parks or even just spending a quiet afternoon at his best friend's house, where they listen to the latest punk and funk releases, and plan their next stargazing excursion.
Thanks for being a fine citizen, Ryan, and congratulations on being named Millsberry's Citizen of the Week!
