Meet Rusty, our citizen of the week!
Rusty is a recent addition to the town of Millsberry—he moved into his house at 39905 Willow Street in Lakeview on March 24, 2006. Though moving to a new place always takes some time to adjust, Rusty is already enjoying life by the lakeshore!
Without a doubt, Rusty's greatest aid in adapting so quickly to his new home has been his outgoing nature. Never one to hang back, Rusty dove right into the Millsberry social scene, joining clubs at Millsberry Academy and taking part in activities all over town. He already has a large circle of friends, and he couldn't be happier! Rusty likes breaking the ice with new acquaintances by performing magic tricks. He finds that it makes people smile and puts them at ease right away. Rusty's magical abilities have certainly started a fair share of conversations!
Another way that Rusty makes friends is by sharing his love of music with them. He's a proud member of a few music clubs at the Academy, and he really enjoys listening to and talking about music. Rusty's musical taste is quite varied, but his favorite styles are rockabilly, world music, and classic rock. He often spends hours at the mall, browsing through all the latest releases to see if he can discover a new favorite. When Rusty really wants to relax and enjoy some laidback tunes, he usually heads over to his best friend's house, where they pen lyrics or just listen to their favorite CDs late into the night.
Another of Rusty's pastimes is skating at the ice rink in Peabody Park. Rusty loves blazing across the ice, beating the other team's defenders to a loose puck while playing a fast-paced game of hockey. He's already an avid member of the Millsberry hockey league. Keep a close eye out for Rusty on the ice, since he might be a bit hard to spot in his lucky white jersey!
Thanks for being a fine citizen, Rusty, and congratulations on being named Millsberry's citizen of the week!
