LEMONADE, SEASHELLS, SPRINKLERS, AND SLIPPERY WATER SLIDES
Thursday, July 15, 2010 — As summer rolls on, everyone wants to make sure they get the most out of their sunny days before their tiny bits of freedom dry out. So our staff at the Gazette came up with some simple suggestions that are easy to do and will make for good times.

One Gazette staff member recalls long fun-filled afternoons selling lemonade with her younger brother outside of their house. "It was a great way to meet the people in our neighborhood, plus make some extra dollars so we didn't have to ask our parents for ice cream money later! It was also a nice way to spend time with my family."

She adds, "Sometimes my brother and I would collect seashells on family trips to the beach, paint different designs on them, and also sell them at our lemonade stands. We were budding artists!"

There was also a unanimous vote for running through sprinklers. One of our staff members comments, "It's so simple but that's what makes it fun. Those simple things you can do when your parents want to water their lawn can turn out to be a blast."

And now for one week only--you can purchase a very rare item that is perfect for making the most of out of summer! The Slippery Water Slide! Just lay it out in your yard, turn on the sprinklers or a hose, and slide on your belly all the way down!

Bobby at the Bait Shack already has his. He comments, "This simple little slide makes hot days so much fun. The only problem is that I can't get my friends to leave my yard."

So go get yours because the week will fly by and this item will go back to being very rare!

Happy dog days of summer!
