LORETTA'S WINTER STYLE
By Audrey Smythe-Wei
Editor-in-Chief
Thursday, January 15, 2009 — Winter is officially in full swing, so once again it's time to bundle up. If you're like us—you've probably been looking through your closet, searching for that perfect, warm-yet-stylish cold weather outfit.

Luckily, we were able to catch up with Millsberry's expert of all things stylish, Loretta Rivers, as she got ready for her big winter fashion release.

Over at Wearhouse, it was immediately apparent that a large-scale fashion operation was underway. And Loretta was still scurrying around the store, giving her final approval to the new clothing, before sitting down for our exclusive interview.

Audrey Smythe-Wei: Wow, Loretta, it looks like you've been busy!

Loretta Rivers: I know, right? I really put a lot into this new line. Hopefully that will come through in the clothes.

Audrey Smythe-Wei: So, now that people in Millsberry are bundling up for winter, what advice can you give them about staying stylish?

Loretta Rivers: Well, I think that most people think that having to bundle-up means you can't look stylish. But I think the more clothing you wear, the more style you can add to your look!

Audrey Smythe-Wei: That's true. I never thought of it like that before. What advice do you have as far as staying warm is concerned?

Loretta Rivers: The main thing you want to keep in mind about winter fashion is that layers are important. You'll stay warmer, and you'll be able to mix and match styles to create a bunch of cool looks.

Audrey Smythe-Wei: How do accessories factor into winter style?

Loretta Rivers: Accessories are another great part of winter fashion. To me, they might be the most important. There are so many ways to add to your outfit with simple things like a hat or scarf, and they keep you extra warm, too!

Audrey Smythe-Wei: If you had to pick one favorite winter fashion item, what would it be?

Loretta Rivers: That's tough. It's hard to pick just one, but if I had to pick, I would say leather jackets. I take that back. It's hard to beat a great sweater. Boots, also. I will always have a special place in my heart for boots. See, I told you I couldn't pick just one!

Audrey Smythe-Wei: Well, fortunately for you, there are enough pieces in your new winter line to satisfy all your fashion urges.

Loretta Rivers: [Laughing] You're right about that! I just hope everyone else likes the clothes as much as I do.
