Millsberry Academy gym teacher and coach, Coach Danner, nearly lost his balance during one of his early morning jogs this week. The roads weren't slippery, but Danner stumbled mid-route—right after passing a jogger who looked exactly like him...even wearing the same blue cap! Confused and curious, Danner wondered whether he might have crossed paths with a long-lost twin brother. However, after chasing down his doppelganger (pronounced dop-uhl-gang-er; meaning one's double, or someone who looks just like them), he quickly learned that the fellow Millsberrian was wearing a Coach Danner mask! Coach Danner sighed with relief at the revelation—and was equally pleased to learn that the mask was part of a special line from Tricks, Toys and Games, in honor of April Fool's Day! In fact, the store has released a whole line of Millsberrian masks, styled to make you look like the twin of Coach Danner, as well as other local notables, including town historian Edna Nelson, Siobhan from the Dojo, Millsberry Museum curator Keith Umai; and Millsberry Academy's cafeteria chief, Mrs. Grubbly.
"I was scooping out moussaka for students in the lunch line and suddenly I was staring at three mirror-images of myself! I was so shocked that I spilled the broccoli and cheese soup all over the floor. I'll never be able to look at that soup the same way again—though I'm so happy to learn that my face is selling well!" Grubbly explained.
Down at the dojo, Shinbu Ryu karate class was about to start when 10 of Siobhan's students showed up...all wearing her mask! "These masks are so realistic!" Siobhan noted. "I nearly jumped out of my skin! This is one of the best April Fool's tricks ever played on me. In fact, it may be the best one, ever!"
Well, we can't wait to hear what Edna and Keith have to say about their look-alikes running around town. Meantime, we hope you'll pick one up for yourself, so you too can celebrate April Fool's Day, every day!
