STRANDED VISITOR NEEDS YOUR HELP!
Thursday, August 3, 2006 — Search parties combing through the woods that surround Westridge were shocked today when they found the damaged remains of a spaceship that had crashed on the last night of the Alpha Lyrid meteor shower. More shocking, however, was the discovery of the ship's pilot — a young girl named Jenneira, who claims to be from the distant future!
"I was out for a ride in my time-ship when I accidentally got knocked off-course by the meteors," Jenneira explained to the Gazette. "My ship was damaged, dropping quite a few pieces as it plummeted over Downtown Millsberry. Luckily, I managed to keep enough control of the ship to steer it into a clearing. The crash really banged up the ship, but my main problem now is all the missing parts!"
Jenneira requested the help of Millsberry's citizens to find the missing pieces of her ship. "They were scattered all over your Downtown area," she said. "I'm missing parts of my life-support system, my guidance system, the engine, and the hull plate, among other things. It would be a huge help to me if Millsberry's residents could keep an eye out for these pieces from my craft. If you see something laying around that looks like alien technology, it's probably from my ship!"
What Jenneira especially needs, however, are the fuel crystals that power her ship's engines. "I can fix my time-ship by adding the missing pieces and repairing them with my nanobots, but without those fuel crystals, my ship can't fly! In the short time that I've been here, I've learned that the people of Millsberry are great, so I'm really confident that they'll all band together to find my fuel crystals."
Many volunteers have already come forward to help in the search for her fuel crystals and missing time-ship parts. Metro Park resident Tommy Farro was one of the first to return a piece of the time-ship to Jenneira. "I returned a bundle of wires I found, and Jenneira gave me something from her own time in return," Farro said. Citizen groups are forming near the Westridge crater every day to learn more about Jenneira's situation and work together to help her repair her ship.
Jenneira's arrival has even started a new fashion trend in town — Loretta Rivers, owner of the Clothing Store, has unveiled a line of futuristic clothing modeled after Jenneira's attire!
