NEW PETS ARRIVE!
Thursday, November 10, 2005 — Frank and Rosie Ruiz, owners of The Pet Palace, are pleased to announce the arrival of many new animals this week. All of the new arrivals make great pets, and many of them are cool animals from all around the world.
"We're very excited about our new collection of pets," Mrs. Ruiz told the Gazette. "The Pet Palace will continue to offer cats, dogs, and birds for adoption as usual, but we hope some of our customers will discover the joys of owning these new animals."
"Even though some of our new animals seem strange, they are all fully domesticated and ready to be pets," Mr. Ruiz said. "They range from birds to fish to mammals - even reptiles! We have eels, butterfly fish, chinchillas, toucans, plus much, much more. There's a pet for everyone here."
The Ruizes proudly showed off their new animals and briefly explained the origins and habits of each pet to a crowd of interested customers. "I'd never heard of a sugar glider before," April Takahashi, of Westridge, exclaimed, "but I can't wait to get one! They're so cute. Mrs. Ruiz told me that they come all the way from Australia!"
Alejandro Rivas, from Lakeview, was more interested in the reptilian pets. "I'd like to buy one of those enormous desert tortoises," Rivas said. "It would almost fill up my entire backyard! Or maybe I'll get an iguana; they look really awesome too. It might be a lot of work to take care of a pet like that, but it would be worth it!"
Mr. and Mrs. Ruiz would like to remind all of their potential customers that although pets are a very big responsibility, pet ownership can be very rewarding. "A pet can be your best friend," said Mrs. Ruiz. "If you take good care of your pet, you'll have a wonderful companion for many years!"
