A BOOKLOVER'S DREAM COME TRUE!
Thursday, February 9, 2006 — The Bookends Bookshop in Downtown Millsberry has recently acquired an exciting new selection of books. Owner Carla Robbins's enthusiasm was almost infectious as she told the Gazette about her shop's newest additions.
"We've just received a shipment of new books," Robbins said. "They're all great reads, which cover a wide variety of subjects, from animals and inventions to great historical figures. I can't wait to stock the shelves with these new books and share them with my fellow citizens! It may take a couple days to get them all in their proper places on the shelves, so please come back often."
Robbins is so eager for Millsberry's readers to enjoy her new arrivals that she's having a special sale to celebrate! "Customers who buy 10 books will receive a special prize... for free!" Robbins told the Gazette. When asked about the prize, however, Robbins remained secretive. "You'll just have to pick up a few books and find out for yourself!" she said with a wink, but eventually gave up a hint that the prize would appeal to booklovers.
The bookshop's faithful customers are also excited about the new additions. "I love to read, but I felt like I'd already worked my way through the shop's entire inventory," said Gregory Abaje, of Ravenwood. "That's why I'm really looking forward to the brand-new books. Plus, now I'll even get a prize for reading!"
The Bookends Bookshop sale begins on February 9th and will end on the evening of February 16th. So head down there and start reading!
VALENTINE'S DAY GREETINGS NOW AVAILABLE!
Yolanda Fowlkes, postwoman of the Millsberry Post Office, would like to announce that Valentine's Day greetings are now available. Many great new choices are now in stock for anyone who would like to send a greeting to a friend (or other special person) in Millsberry or anywhere else! Ms. Fowlkes tells us that long lines are expected on the 14th, so she advises everyone to avoid the rush and send their greetings early!
