Thursday, November 15, 2007 — The grand opening of Studio T, the new T-shirt design lab constructed by Loretta Rivers, took place this week. Thousands of Millsberry citizens and fashion enthusiasts gathered for the ribbon cutting ceremony that took place.Editor-in-chief
Studio T is a fully functional T-shirt design lab, where anyone can come in and design their own completely customized T-shirt in a matter of minutes. With all of the different design options, there are literally endless possibilities. New T-shirt designs and styles have been spotted all over Millsberry since the Studio T opening.
"This is a truly groundbreaking addition to the city. Never before have I seen anything like this. Loretta has really outdone herself. It will be very exciting to see all of the new designs that the citizens of Millsberry produce. I may even consider turning Friday into Casual T-shirt Friday at my Office. I've got a lot of ideas, and I really want to be able to show everyone at work my new customized T-shirts", said Mayor Trumble at the grand opening ceremony.
Studio T has proved to be a lot of hard work for Loretta Rivers, the creator of the T-shirt lab.
"In the beginning, I just wanted to produce something really special for the people of Millsberry, something that they could make their own and that would be one-of-a-kind. Then I thought to myself, "What better way to do that than by being able to design your own T-shirts?" It just made sense", commented Rivers.
The Studio T design lab took nearly half a year to construct. Its construction was paired with the redesign of the Millsberry clothing store that has since been renamed "Wearhouse: Clothing by L. Rivers".
"You really need to love what you're wearing, and who knows what you love better than you?" asked Rivers at the opening.
It seems as though L. Rivers has found a way to give people exactly what they want, by letting them do that for her.
